Could this mean Detroit is NOT planning on taking the best OT in the draft, Joe Thomas:

Meanwhile, the consensus around the NFL is that Detroit would take Thomas with the second pick overall and then slide Jeff Backus, their returning starter at LT, over to the right side. Lions’ head coach Rod Marinelli is being quoted as saying that Backus will stay at LT no matter what Detroit does with the pick as it would be too unnatural of a move for Backus, who is signed through 2011.

If they were smart, which they are not, they would take Quinn.
Do they plan on building their team around Kitna ?

I still think they will take Thomas.. what a pair of tackles they'd have for years.

On a sidenote, hmmm maybe this would be a good trade.> DEtroit needs a RB.. We need a CB.. how about Willis for Bry?

Unlikely of course.

They got Jones, they're not gonna make a trade like that.

Obviously, he's hurt every year. They're not gonna make a trade like that.

They are going to go receiver again. Millen is drooling over getting Calvin Johnson. :snicker:

If Millen takes another skill player, I wouldn't blame Lions fans if they torch Ford Field. Those people have been ****ed with by that guy enough; he's worse than TD, by far, and that says a hell of a lot.

Isn't it ironic that Calvin Johnson may fall to the Lions but he can't draft him because of his boneheaded moves for the last five years? Although, in many ways, he's been living on borrowed time for the last two years, so maybe he takes him anyway. If I'm the Lions, I'm trading out of the #2 spot. They need much more help than one player can give (especially considering the BPA is a WR!)

no way would Joe slide to 12 so it doesn't matter to me if they aren't taking him
