Take it for what it is worth:

A league source tells us that the Buffalo Bills are close to inking defensive end Chris Kelsay to a deal that would be worth roughly $6 million per year.

Kelsay, a second round pick in the 2003 draft, is scheduled to become a unrestricted agent on March 2.

The four-year veteran has started in 36 straight games for the Bills.

6 Mil for Kelsay ? Good grief.

6 mil per ????? Damn. I would pay that money plus in a second for Clements. Kelsay is nothing more than a rotational player.

I like Kelsay. But six million? I guess with the cap going up were going to start seeing alot bigger deals.

while I'm not opposed to re-signing Kelsay, that seems like a LOT of money for a guy who can't stop the run. I think we could get just as much production from Hargrove and Denney for a lot less money.

This DL isn't going to get better by bringing back all the same guys who weren't good enough last year....

6 million a year? That cant be true.

Maybe this means that Hargrove is out?

Peter King did say he expected Kelsay to be the worst player gaining a big payday because of the market.

I think Kelsay is average on his best day. There is no way he is worth 6/year. First Andersen, now this? Call 911 cuz people's heads around here might explode with one more questionable signing.

What is going on over there today?
Surly that $6 million a year will be with some heavy incentives.

I was hoping to keep Hargrove. I thought for sure that Kelsay was gone, and I didn't really care too much.

I thought of all our guys to potentially hit the market, Kelsay was the most expendable.

Apparently OBD thinks he's priorty number one, which means Fletch and Nate are 99.9% gone.

Aaron Schoebel's contract was 5 years/ $23 million and a $6.75 signing bonus...

How do you figure? Kelsay is not going to eat up so much that we won't be able to afford Nate or Fletch.

It's PFT. That means it's all hearsay right now. Don't jump off the bridge yet until you hear it from a credible source.

So would you have rather paid Nate 7-8 mil per or Kelsay 6 mil per. Obviously the wizards at OBD chose the latter. Doesn't make sense to me. I thought for sure they were gonna go with Denney and Hargrove over there.
Of course they work for the Bills in the front office so they must know what they are doing. Just like Donadumb knew what he was doing.

Do you have the exact figures? Right now it is all just rumors.

I hope they are just rumors because if they gave him 6 mil. per guaranteed than they are clueless on who should and shouldn't be getting paid on this team. Of course last year when they signed Price and Reed to those contracts I started to wonder, and now they will be letting their best defensive player walk and signed an average/rotational end for huge money if those numbers are true.
