If this is true, then the front office really dropped the ball on this one.
One, we overpaid for a mediocre rotational defensive end. Two, our D-line was attrocious last year, so what do we do, bring in the same guys! Three, if he wasn't expecting this much, the offer to him coulda been lower and he still woulda taken it.

I love marv, he's a legend in my book and most others.. but he does NOT know how to run a football team, and if you dont want to blame him for these stupid signings-- too bad.. He is the "representative" of whomever pulls off these stupid deals..Comment

I'm far from thrilled with it, and it is pretty entertaining to see him say they overpaud for him, but it is far from the end of the world. We have to realize that this is going to be the way it is around here. I thought we did a week or two ago, hence all of the talk about needing to draft well, but it seems that once this practice went into motion, people came to different conclusions. While it is somewhat more than I like to pay, I also realize that guys at his level get this money these days.
It is funny that the same people who ***** about Ralph's cheapness are now saying he overpays for guys.
