All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

RFA ANSWER: I noticed some Bills fans were discussing Colts RFA OL Jake Scott, who if given a low tender ($850K) by the Colts would require just a 5th round pick as compensation if signed away from Indy with an offer sheet.
But the Bills don't have a fifth round pick, so what would happen. I've found out that what would happen is Buffalo would be out of luck. If you don't have the proper draft pick as compensation you can't sign the player to an offer sheet.

That sucks.
And now I'm hearing that we aren't resigning Hargrove. Before we annoit Marv as the "best GM ever" let's keep track of crap like this, the Clements promise, and the McCargo pick after signing Tripplett.

Where did you hear that about Hargrove?
And nobody annoited him teh best GM ever.
And there is nothing wrong with the McCargo pick. The system used is a rotational system. They need both guys.

That sucks and it figures (about Scott)-- nothing is going right thus far. I am actually more scared about this coming week than excited.
As for McCargo.. Bull****. They sign their "biggest" deal to a specific type of DT, and then TRADE Up in round one to draft the exact same player. Given that they knew they wouldn't pay fletcher this year, they could've used that pick on DeMarco Ryans, or they could've went with the safe pick, drafting a beast of a center in Nick Mangold.
Im not hating on McCargo.. He may turn out to be a good player, and overall I think the draft was really solid.. But this pick was stupid and it was senseless compared to other needs.
They are also talking about moving McCargo to the other DT spot (young guy, bulk him up).
You also have the fact that the drop-off was huge to the next DT.
Look I'm very happry with Marv and what he has done. I liked the Jauron hiring on day 1. But Pat is 100% correct. We had/have glaring holes i.e. the Offensive Line, and you go back into the first to get the exact same player that you just picked up in FA. Sorry that doesn't fly. We don't have the luxury of drafting for depth in Round 1.
