I don't think anyone can argue that we need better production from our DTs this season. I'd like to think that improvement will occur by virtue of Williams' year of experience, McCargo's return from injury, and Triplett's year in the scheme. But I'd feel a whole lot better if we added another solid DT in FA or the draft to shore up the run defense.
That said, would Ian Scott REALLY make a noticeable difference for us? He's not a huge player, and has been only a rotational guy for the Bears. Granted, rotating behind Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson doesn't mean you're a scrub.....but is this guy worth lusting after? Is he another decent player like Triplett, or can he be dominant?
I'm not venturing a firm opinion either way, as I don't know all that much about him. Anybody have more info?
