Both the moves are obviously just for depth, but if for some reason a team came along with an offer sheet and wanted to give up a 3rd round pick, for either player, the front office wouldn't complain one bit.

I'm 50/50 on Hargrove. I love his attitude and work ethic- the guy brings an energy and determination that seems to be lacking from this team. But at the same time, the DL wasn't good enough and someone has to be replaced. And we know Tripplett, McCargo and Williams aren't going anywhere.

1) The tender can be withdrawn

2) If player signs the RFA tender, it's not guaranteed, thus

3) player can be released in training camp and Bills regain the amount of the RFA tender with NO CAP HIT!

why do some of y'all get yer panties in a knot :shakeno:

While I agree with the assment of the DL, the one thing that can be said about Hargrove is that he was a mid-season addition. He's never played in this type of defense before, and pretty much had to learn his role on the fly. He found his niche on special teams early, pumping up the crowd and himself, while flying down the field to make kick coverage tackles. But he got a sack and 1/2 as the season progressed, got pretty solid pressure on the QB, as well as playing some at a position he never did before, DT

Plus if all else fails, he's got the best hair on the team. Blowback Afro. enough said.

I think Hargrove, at only 23 and with a lot of upside, has a chance to be a starter someday. Which would make Kelsay a very expensive backup.

Kelsay an Overpaid backup? ahhhh, who cares.

It would be right on the par with the $1.3 million signing bonus we gave to a third string quarterback, the $1 million dollar salary to a guard (Reyes) that wasnt valuable to be active the last month of the season, or the $10 million dollar contract to a WR with 34 catches for 410 yards on the season (Reed)

well we gambled last year with the QB situation, but its nice to know that now we know we dont need to pay for QB's "Just in case JP bombs", hence why we had the insurance policies in paying both backups decent money, this year though, we dont have to throw money at clip board holders.

I'm really high on Hargrove. I hope the Bills match any reasonable offer on him. He's going to piss some people off when he's starting in front of Kelsay, who blows.

You've got that right, but unfortunately, Marv & Co. aren't running any of the other franchises. Therefore, nobody will make these guys an offer.
