I presently have the Bills' $20,119,649 under an "adjusted" salary cap of $112,134,000 with $9,069,578 "dead cap"......these numbers include all transactions thus far. The above numbers are also adjusted for "top 51" and also includes a cap credit of $3 million (Cap adjustment) and salary cap increase of $134,000

What's missing?

1) Accurate Kelsay's bonus info (changed to $8 million signing bonus and added $3 million bonus....LTBE? Roster?)
2) Bonus info for Dockery & Walker (Now based upon Buffalo News article from 3/10/07)
3) LTBE's that are unknown to me (unknown cap hit)
4) Any unpaid bonuses on recently acquired DT Walker's deal

I would estimate the Bills are about $14-16 million under

They might be waiting to see what happens with the McGahee situation. I suppose we don't have enough to attract Briggs...do we?

You're not talking about Lance Briggs, right? Because he was franchised.

Was he? I must've missed that with all the Dockery excitement...What LBs are left that we might want? Cato? Any other FA that might be worth spending something on for? Or are we done?

I presently have the Bills' $25,629,997 under an "adjusted" salary cap of $112,000,000 with $3,332,078 "dead cap"......these numbers include salary escalators for Losman, Holcomb, and McGahee along with announced RFA tenders to Hargrove and Anderson. The above numbers are also adjusted for "top 51" and also includes a cap credit of $3 million (Cap adjustment)

What's missing?

1) Accurate Kelsay's contract numbers (Buff News said $8 million signing bonus, I have it as a roster bonus)
2) Contract numbers for Dockery & Walker
3) CAM adjustment (league wide)
4) LTBE's that are unknown to me (unknown cap hit)

Please stay tuned for my 2007 Salary Cap Analysis article which should be available soon

I would estimate the Bills are still about $12-17 million under

Wow! $15-17 million under?!?! And if we trade Willis and Spikes....we save another $5 million or so. We can still sign a couple more guys to fill our holes.

BRIGGS.....please, Marv!

why don't you post a new post each time there is an update...it would have been nice to see the evolution of this whole thing instead of just the latest version.

So 12-14. minus ~4-5 for draft picks, minus ~2 million in reserve for practice squad/injury replacements leaves 5-7 million to spend on other FA's.

Not much, but enough for some depth.

Clump - what does the last line of the bflo new article concerning the cap mean?
How did you include witner's the 8.3 million in this years cap figure?

The signing bonuses do not only reflect money in contracts signed this year. Donte Whitner, for instance, got an $8.3 million bonus this month as part of his first-round rookie contract signed last summer.

That option bonus is paid this year, so it counts in the "cash to the cap" plan. For cap purposes, it's amortized over the last 5 yrs of Whitner's at $1.66 million/season............if you look at my cap page, I already have it :D
