Should have kept him. I still think he is a better goalie than Ryan Miller..


Plus if Miller gets hurt, the Sabres are in trouble..


My Rangers are in a similar situation.. We only have one competent goaltender.

Dude, he ain't better than Miller. Miller is the franchise goalie. Biron was going to be an UFA and wasn't going to come back to Buffalo. The Sabres were smart to dish him now and at least get something in return. Not to mention they opened up salary to bring Zubrus in.

Like RS said, Miller is the number 1 and we were going to lose him after the year. We also needed to clear cap space if we wanted to make any moves and Marty makes about 2.2 million. Too bad there wasn't any market for goalies this year.

Miller is the best goalie in the league, period.

Biron was the only 'value' the team had to dump salary to bring Zubrus and others on board.

The Rangers suck.

and thats why Miller plays 80% of the games and Biron did mop up duty. It was because Biron is better, and this is some sort of new strategy the Sabres use. Play your backup goalie 80% of the time and lead the league in Pts... Maybe that's why the Rangers suck there playing their starting goalie too much.

I would have loved to have kept Marty as a backup, but we would lose him and get nothing for him this offseason, and we needed the salary cap space

I have to think that the Sabres were looking for a bigger name so they were clearing some cap room. When the "big" names started going elsewhere they started looking at other players and got Zubrus. I also heard that they need the cap room in order for players coming up from the AHL and when Connolly comes back.

1. Cap Room was needed

2. Biron was an UFA, so this was the last time to get something for him

3. Conklin and Biron have Similar numbers (Low 3.xx GAA, High .8xx Sv %), Difference is that Biron Played in front of a MUCH better team, Biron can Let in 3 or 4 Goals, because the Offense would score 5 or 6, We've Scored over 240 Goals, Columbus is just barely over 150.

Deal with it, Every team gets the "No Calls" and Dumb Refs...

You Lost in OT, what makes you think post season is gonna be different?, instead of winning in the 5 minute Period4 we have 20+ to get it done, Jagr, Shannahan and a few other players are old, and wouldn't last too long in long OT games..

Rangers aren't Anything special, look at their last 15 games, a Few Obvious Wins, and a Few Obvious Losses, and a few games that they got completely OWNED.

Rangers aren't Even In the Playoffs, and if they keep losing to the 7,8,9 Seeds They aren't Gonna Make it...
