I have as much sentiment as anyone for AVP.

But what really happens if Drew has to sit for a few games ?

I think we need to get reliable 2nd string QB as we move forward.

Someone that can run the team in Drews absence without missing to many beats.

Me if Im watching the game and Drew goes down, Imma say

Ohhhh No :(

Your thoughts ?

suggestions ?

This draft is stacked. I know ill get ripped about this 2nd choice but how about a Drew Hensen or a Ken Dorsey in the 7th?

Ken Dorsey might not even be drafted.

I wouldn't mind taking him in the 7th though.

I donno guys, I like Travis Brown. From what i'v seen he has the arm to be in the NFL and Donahoe is really high on him so i dont really think we need to draft a qb. He's also young.

Screw Drew, get someone new, and let Brown be our number 2.
at least it rhymes! :D

I thought we wanted to win? If we got a new QB and got rid of Drew (This will NEVER happen), we'd have to draft someone, and this is our last re-building year, I dont wanna wait for a kid to come in and have to learn the O for 3 years. Then there's the possibility of him being a bust.

sorry 4th, if we win now, it'll be more credit to the rest of the players than to Drew. If he was so great, we would have shot out of that pitiful tie tag in the afc east last year. JMO. He's getting worse as he goes.

He gets the job done is all that matters to me, he doesn't need to be a superstar, just to win.

Could be a best player available draft...

You can't be serious. This is the most ridiculous post I've seen in ages. JMO.

That's the beauty of it- Drew IS a superstar!

I agree with Demon. I think TD has his sites set on Travis Brown.

Drew always flutters in the second half of the season, he even did it in NE great first halves and medeocer second halves

Maybe drafting someone in the mid-to-late rounds would be a decent idea. Have him and an undrafted free agent compete with Travis Brown for the #3 spot. One of the three gets the job, one gets cut, and one goes on the practice squad. Let the #3 guy take about half of #2 snaps during the season because Alex is smart and capable enough to play without a lot of snaps.
