Since when does Bob Rich own the Buffalo Bills?

Am I missing something? Did Ralph sell the team privately or is this person uninformed?

Among those on hand for yesterday's ceremony were Kansas City Royals owner David Glass and Wichita Wranglers owner Bob Rich.


Rich's Class Double-A, Texas League team is to move from Wichita for the 2008 season. The Wranglers are an affiliate of Glass's Royals. Glass is a former Wal-Mart chief executive officer. Rich owns the N-F-L's Buffalo Bills and other minor-league franchises.

It was an AP "story" which means someone took a few facts and threw together a story around it to make the minimum number of words. I have written to AP to no avail in the past asking they correct stories and I have either got "no need to" or "we will" and on subsequent releases they don't. Whenever I see no name in credit box from an AP story I know it is just one of their staff rather than an actual writer.

I was always under the impression that he owns a very small minority interest in the team. Not sure though.

if thats the case, then sweet!!! He might have a behind the scenes deal with Ralph or his daughters to buy the majority of the team, along with Tom Golisano once Ralph passes away.
