Steinbach is visiting the Browns Friday. What a surprise!
The surprise isn't that big name guys are visiting the Browns because they have the fifth highest cap room available.

Guess which teams have more cap then Cleveland? I wonder if those teams will sign anyone...:(

I just think it's odd that Marv *****es about small market teams not being able to compete yet the Browns are going after all these huge names.

They can't be that much bigger of a market than us.

Thanks for the link, but these visits aren't always right. There will be signings tomorrow that will come out of the blue. Buffalo will add players by the time the weekend ends. Not necessarily good ones, but new guys nonetheless.

Graham is visiting Oakland immediatley after Denver. So the Broncos may make a hell of a deal.

All it's going to take is one signing to keep me up all night. This is the slowest start to FA in recent history.

If the Raiders call once free agency begins, Oakland definitely will be one of the places he seriously considers,'' said Steve Baker, Garcia's agent. Former 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia, 37, will be one of the Raiders' top priorities once the free-agency period begins tonight at 9. We have the 3rd highest cap room and none of the great FA's are scheduled to visit us.

Only the Bills could eat up 13 million in cap space between Kelsay, Anderson and Williams.

The population of the (Cleveland) metropolitan area in 1980 was 2,278,000, but by 1990 it totaled 2,202,000, or a decrease of 3.3 percent. The trend reversed in the 1990s. In 2004 the population was 2,137,000.
http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761576023/Cleveland_(Ohio).html

Buffalo's metro pop. is 968532, according to the census http://www.census.gov/population/censusdata/90den_ma.txt

That's less than half the size!

I wonder why they dont have jeff garcia to oakland yet.

Because Garcia is a west coast QB and Davis is a down field guy. Garcia doesn't have the arm for that type of offense and Davis doesn't have the patience for the west coast offense.
