Dockery is just 26 and coming into his own. The 6-foot-6, 335-pound guard will benefit from the big money this position is earning these days.

How can that be if ESPN experts have him ranked as a 65? :snicker:

Lenny P from ESPn has him ranked 12th on his Top 30 list..

(He also has Nate #1 and Fletcher #7)-- I refuse to believe you guys dont get how much we are going to miss them defensively; though in this case, esepecially with Clements, I can side with Wilson for not paying that much for a CB in a cover two defense.

Awesome pic. CBS has Dock at No. 5. He's obviously the man.

I read ESPN's scouting report... they talk a lot about his POTENTIAL.... he's really just getting his experience now, and is improving rapidly...

The only real knock on him is that he's not the best pullnig guard ever.... oh well. They said he's an EXCELLENT in-line run blocker .

YOU DO NOT NEED AN ELITE CB IN THE COVER TWO ZONE.

Question....How many threads do we need about Dockery? I'm not sure if there's enough yet. LOL

I love how jealous Miami fans are. Have fun with Cam Cameron and Daunte Kneepepper.

I think Dockery would be a great signing for the Bills, I just made an observation on how funny people can be. A lot of fans of all teams do what I had stated above.

The other thing that fans of all teams do is make a new face a god before they even play a down for their team. Almost every fan is guilty of that at some time.

5th BEST free agent out there according to Pete Prisco....

5. Derrick Dockery (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/395949), G, Washington Redskins: He is a young player who is coming off his best season. He is strong and physical and is just now hitting his peak.

on Chris Browns blog, Walker is having dinner with Dick tonight.

Dockery was talking to John Guy in his office.

Hope he's signing the blank piece of paper.

They might want to sign Walker before they take that fat **** out to dinner.. Denny's will never be the same again when he's done with that place.

Sure and If ESPN had him as a top FA, you wouldn't want him because ESPN thinks he's good? I forgot anytime the Bills sign someone new, they're considered the best EVER!!

per Sporting News - Dockery is listed as the 3rd best available guard, behind stienbeck and dielman.

2006 scouting report
Strengths: Has outstanding strength and is very powerful at the point of attack. Has a strong punch and will stun the rusher off the snap. Sits down well vs. power players and will not be bull rushed. Is a pile mover in the run game and can wash the defender down the line. If he gets his hands on a smaller player, has the strength to engulf and envelope them.
Weaknesses: Lacks speed, quickness and flexibility. Struggles blocking speed rushers and is not good in the open field.

Bottom line: Dockery works hard and shows smarts and toughness. He needs to improve as a blocker versus speed to take his game to the next level.

Career data
Transactions/career notes: Selected by Washington Redskins in third round (81st pick overall) of 2003 NFL draft. ... Signed by Redskins (July 28, 2003). ... Granted free agency (March 11, 2006). ... Re-signed by Redskins (March 27, 2006).

i like what i am reading about him.

he is just what they said they wanted.. a bull in the middle.. so what that he is not good in space.. he is not a damn left tackle..

we wanted to get big and mean in the center of the line, and he would do that for sure.
