Langston Walker was not only picked up to upgrade our offensive line. This guy's a secret weapon - on what Marv used as the building blocks for the Super Bowl teams -- SPECIAL TEAMS!!

    Ready for this?.....

Langston Walker = 5 BLOCKED KICKS OVER THE PAST TWO SEASONS!!!!

that is about 5 million per blocked kick. not a bad deal for him.

            That is amazing (for real)

I visited three Raiders message boards and I asked around.. and at least in their minds, they said Walker is an absolute fat peice of **** who plays soft like tissue.. and I heard that 15-20 times.

I am far from sold on him. I consider him a high risk/ high reward player. Pehaps he was the victim of playing with the worst collective OL the NFL has ever seen.. Or maybe he is a bum. I dont know.

I'll say this though, I have no problem with the signing if he's hear to play right guard. I'm going to trust Marv saw him as better than Gandy- who will probably get a blown up deal from someone soon (Pittsburgh is the consensus)

Basically, we just upgraded 2 out of 3 units for $25 mil.

              That's only $12.5 mil/unit.

The Answer realizes that Walker came from a team with one of the most putrid OLine's in football, but this move isn't as bad as everybody thinks.

But if he truly can shine on ST than it offsets the Bennie the Penalty comparisons.

Great to hear.... Marv continues to keep Special Teams a priority, along with the lines.

DAMN! Make the ST's better while upgrading the OL.

I have a confession to make. I love Marvin Levy.

Derrick Dockery was the key offensive lilneman signing of the day. If we buy the underachiever label Walker has sometimes worn, I wonder if McNally can light a fire under him and get him to perform the way his ability says he should. I agree his special team ability is a big bonus.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
