All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Way after the play, a vicious blindside cheap shot to the head, and then Kaberle's head hit the boards and he was wheeled off on a stretcher.
And no penalty on the play. This is getting ridiculous.
Yeah, now that it is a Toronto player, I wonder if the league office will do something about it.
Now, objectively, this hit was much later than the hit on Drury. Plus, Kaberle DID have his head down a bit and the hit came at him from the front, not the back like Neil's hit. Like Drury though, I think Kaberle got most of the damage from the boards when his head hit them. His helmet stayed on though.
Except for the timing issue, I think it's less of a cheap shot than the hit laid on Drury. Wasn't from behind, and Kaberle could see it coming to a certain point.

Well, he got a three game suspension. After the Sabres broadcast they said Campbell issued a short statement that went something like this, "he has been given a three game suspension due to the lateness of the hit". It WAS a lot later than Neil's hit on Drury, but whatever.
