Will the Bills use a Day 1 pick on OL?

Right now, I forsee the Bills starting OL (barring injuries and more pickups via FA or the Draft) as either:

LT Peters, LG Walker, C Fowler, RG Dockery, RT Pennington

    or

LT Peters, LG Merz/Preston/Butler/Whittle, C Fowler, RG Dockery, RT Walker

I think now the Bills will have decent depth on the OL, too. Guys like Whittle, Preston, and Butler, that can play different positions on OL, mean that you only have to activate maybe 7 O Lineman on gamedays, freeing up another LB, DB, WR, etc.

But will Marv stand pat with his current OL or use a high draft pick or more FA money to bring in more guys on the OL?

The only way we draft more OL is if they find a steal in the later rounds.

        Dockery at LG, sorry.

I don't think JP's going to be blindsided too often with that left side of the line.

I honestly dont see it. Now, the only guy I could see is Kalil. Im not a huge fan to be honest. But it does make sense:

They have solved the LG issue, they have a young RT that played decent, and now they added Walker who can start at RG right away and swing to RT if Pennington regresses. The spot they havent addressed is C. Now, Fowler was talked about highly in post season interviews so I wouldnt think its likely that we upgrade him. But, Kalil is considered a very good C prospect. I think Satele fits a bit better due to his size which we seem to covet. However, Kalil also has a link to the Bills, his dad was drafted by us.

I think we add more guys in day two, but I see us drafting LB, RB, CB, maybe DT first and foremost now.

If we fill 2 or 3 more holes (LB, CB, WR, TE) with free agents... I'd spend a 3rd rounder at interior O-line.

I'd prefer Walker at RG over RT... Pennington was doing okay and developing... Butler has potential too....

Marv does not like drafting OL in rd. 1 to begin with. If he grabs a DT via FA, I can see him going with rb or wr with the first pick and since the cover 2 is cb friendly, he can find one in the 2nd or 3rd.

The question was day 1... not round 1.

                    Dont forget FB .

Right now the "holes'" are at LB, CB, and FB. Add RB if we trade Willis. If they trade Spikes u may be looking at 2 LB.

The "love to upgrade spots are at TE and Wr.

So between FA and draft, this is what is left. IMO
OL is set, and so is DL (unfortunately, cause we didnt get better there)

yeah, figured taht but I still say he won't. He's got his 1st OL day picks from the FA if you consider how much be paid for the OL yesterday. My guess is hemay use it to get JP his weaponds or build the D's core group for years to come.

That's already 9 OL.. they are done with OL

Maybe a pure center but not on day one

                            Man that's a nice looking 9!

You're probably right though. But this isn't late August... I wonder how many of those 9 will be healthy enough to go game 1.
