All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This sounds very promising. It looks like OBD is working on it.
The Bills are likely to be done with major signings. They still are working on retaining two of their own free agents, running back Anthony Thomas and cornerback Kiwaukee Thomas. It's possible they could try to add another defender.
With the Bills revamping their offensive line and trying to trade Willis McGahee, I would think that A.Thomas would JUMP at the opportunity to re-sign with the Bills.
If not, he could be beaten to the punch by some other mid-tier RB looking to revitalize his career and market value--like Kevan Barlow, etc.--or even one of the top guys who is looking for a team with the potential to make the playoffs and even win. At the worst, any FA RB signing with the Bills is likely to end up splitting carries with a rookie, which is better than sitting on the bench behind a guy who is going to get 25-30 touches a game.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
