Here's some more details about Dockery's contract...

Dockery's contract -- worth $49 million over seven years, according to sources -- will make him one of the highest-paid guards in league history. Dockery will earn $18.5 million in guaranteed money from the Bills, including a $16 million signing bonus, and will earn $18 million over the first three years of the deal, sources said.

The Redskins had hoped to re-sign Dockery but began to focus elsewhere as yesterday's start of the NFL free agency period approached because the gulf between his demands and what they were willing to pay grew too wide.

Linebacker London Fletcher agrees to a five-year, $25 million contract with the Washington Redskins on Friday.

Hope that helps with your cap numbers, Clump.

I don't know why people are getting hung up on this stuff (not you Mikey) - with the unprecedented increase in the cap this year, its pretty safe to say...

(Insert a name)'s contract will make him one of the highest-paid (pick a position)s in league history.

agreed. Just picture if Steve Hutchinson was a free agent this year. He might have gotten $60 million.

Oh and I don't even want to think about how much Aaron Schobel would have gotten paid if he was a free agent this year. Something tells me that it would make Clements' contract look kinda cheap.

There was some doubt whether the Bills would be willing to make a big financial splash this offseason. But owner Ralph Wilson this week has committed $32 million in guaranteed money to Dockery and defensive end Chris Kelsay. Dockery gets $13.5 million this year.
