I would rather have Novotny back at least Novotny could score, Zubrus had a lane to shoot at last night on the PP and he decided to pass instead. He's a waste of roster space he's not going to help us win the cup.

In 50 games here, Novotny was a minus-3. In two games here, Zubrus is +3.

the team is in the playoffs...they will win the division and probably finish #1 in the conference...
he doesn't have to score one regular season goal...DZ is not here for that. He is here for the playoffs. Not only that, I am sure he is not in anywhere near the shape the rest of the team is. He has two months to get ready to play at their level.

He was brought here to be a role player to let us roll four scoring lines again.
He's a cog in the machine, not an impact player.

Dude, stfu its been 3 games he's looked good out there, he's been solid on draws. He kills penalties.Briere hasn't scored in 3 games so is he a waste of a roster spot as well? Im sick of your whining! you clearly know nothing about hockey if your pissed we have zubrus over Novonty. The sabres haven't lost with him in the line up.

Besides the fact he is playing a news system, with new teammates, which btw he said wowed him. If you drove a VW for the last couple of years and now you are in a Ferrari I bet it would take a little adjusting.

It was sure nice to have a big man around like Zubrus to outmuscle Sundin on the draws. He has owned us for most of his career on faceoffs.

I think Zubrus will play a very important role for this team come playoff time. And I cant wait until April 8th.. I'm heading down for the game in Philly hopefully we light up Biron like a christmas tree :D

he's big on draws his size is great. He's trying to learn a system. He has been the guy playing high ice waiting to roll back on defense. He's trying to learn a new system. He has to get out of cautious mind set because the team doesn't play that way. Sabres have been wining, its a non issue. It will take him a little time to get comfortable.

Why even post if you have no idea what you are talking about.......Zubrus has done just fine since he has been here, maybe you should call lIndy and tell him to put Zubrus on the # 1 line then and not the 3rd.....DOnt post if you have no clue what you are doing...........

Zubrus is very good-looking ;)
Zubrus is a much better player than Novotny and doesn't have to be a Briere or Drury type for us. He is an excellent addition to the puzzle and I'm glad we have him.. Unfortunately the league screwed us because we could have kept Marty AND gotten Dainius, but that's the NHL for you.

Dude, no one cares what you think because your a moron. The whole team blew today. He blew a assignment but i liked what i saw from him tonight made some nice passes including setting up drury who hit the post. Watch a whole hockey game before continue your whining.

Zubrus will be fine, the team as a whole is playing like crap right now. You want to point a finger look at the defense. Horrible. The team effort the last two games have been subpar. They will need a far better effort to beat jersey tomorrow.
