I'm a little unclear on Lee's contract status. Is his deal up after next year? Thanks.

P.S.

How about Losman?

2010 Free Agent for Lee, I believe.

2007: $773,750, 2008: $1,005,000, 2009: $1,236,250, 2010: Free Agent. Per Evans' original contract, he received $2.25 million to sign and $4,225,000 in an option bonus as part of a five-year contract that guaranteed $7.17 million.

Can you say holdout in the near future?

Losman: Signed a five-year, $7.7 million contract in 2004. The deal included a $5.6 million signing bonus and could pay Losman as much as $24.5 million if he reaches all of its incentives.

Lee hasn's shown any evidence he is a me playe,r and I think he will do what is right and play through his contract although it is up to Buffalo to resign him to a longer deal.

Front office is going to have to break the bank on Evans - no way you can let one of the best young WR's to have a chance to wear another team's uniform.

Scary thing - if the oline truly improves and holds up in 2007 - going to be plenty of big plays downfield with the Losman/Evan's connection. Offense could resemble st louis rams on grass with Fairchild's play calling.

So Losman signed a 4 year deal and Evans signed a 5 year deal however his last year is voidable.

Man Evans is gonna cost a fortune lol. Well worth it though hopefully hes a Bill for life.

the front office better get working on extensions this season. I dont want to have them going into the final year of the deals without extensions.

I think they need to extend Lee this offseason.

my only fear is that Lee would be unwilling to work on an exension now and would want to test the market in 2 years after seeing the types of contracts players are getting these days. can you imagine what they will be like 2 years from now as the cap continues to go up?

I agree. Marv can't extend him if he is unwilling to talk.

That's why we get him now. Give him something similar to what Andre Johnson got. 6-7 years $50-60 million. Sounds like alot but with all the freaking cap space teams have now he's well worth it.

I can't see Lee getting much less then what Clements just got. It's going to be hard to keep Lee in a Bills uniform. They might want to draft a WR in the 1st round this year.
