If the Browns are looking to possibly take Quinn at the #3 spot according to their interest in Quinn in this ESPN article, then where are they going to get their RB from? (Cough) McGahee???

I'm not going to say this will happen, but it's a possibility. Another option for them that I could absolutely see happening is to trade down with the Vikings and take Quinn at #7 just before the Texans might. There are no other teams that would need a QB until Houston at #8 and the Vikings need a WR and they could take Calvin Johnson at #3 before Tampa does.

An even bigger cluster F with movement in the draft is if the Vikes and Texans like Quinn enough to cause a rucous to move into the 1 or 2 spot to beat out Cleveland for Quinn...

I have a feeling that we are going to see some crazy stuff happen in this draft.

4. There is draft stuff going on. QB Brady Quinn (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10302) had his workout Sunday at Notre Dame. He was OK. Quinn did a good job on the inside pass. What was interesting was who was there to watch the workout. The Browns, Vikings and Texans attended with big collection of owners, coaches and general managers. The Browns asked Quinn for an individual workout, so maybe they will consider him at No. 3. Quinn would be an ideal fit in Brad Childress' offense, but there is no certainty the Vikings would take him at No. 7. With Jake Plummer (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=3895) no longer an option for the Texans, Quinn might be a consideration at No. 8. Note that Matt Millen didn't attend for the Lions. Detroit apparently isn't interested in drafting a quarterback at No. 2.

If I were Houston I'd stick it out with Carr and upgrade the OL. With their current OL Quinn would get just as killed as Carr.

More from Crennel and ESPN News Headlines

Crennel said Quinn clearly had zip on his passes.

"The fact he could make all his throws, both right and left, he's a polished quarterback," Crennel said. "He's smart. When you watch him on tape you can see he knows where to go with the ball. He will, at times, throw it away when he has to, so we think he's a good, young prospect."

Quinn threw 63 passes, connecting on 58 of them. On two occasions, former Irish receiver Matt Shelton got his hands on passes but couldn't pull them in. Rhema McKnight (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=134727) couldn't catch a 35-yard pass or a 20-yard pass he dived for. Quinn also overthrew tailback Darius Walker (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=161739) on a 25-yard pass.

"I thought there were four catchable balls and one crummy throw to the right-hand side," Weis said.

Quinn said he was pleased with his performance, although he thought he could have done better.

"I think there's definitely still room for improvement," he said.

Quinn plans to return to Arizona to continue to prepare for the draft. Crennel said he didn't mind that Quinn didn't show off his speed.

"He's a quarterback, he doesn't have to run a 40. He showed he has good feet on the movement drills that he did because he did some rollouts, he did some play-actions. You can see his feet move," Crennel said. "And hopefully he doesn't have to run a 40, and if he's running a 40, they'll be chasing him."

This is either one hell of a smoke screen or the old Patriot Coordinators have been talking about Quinn.

I'm still not convinced Carr is a bust. The guy is a hell of a competitor and has all the tools. I'm interested to see how they look now that they have a REAL threat at RB.

You are right about the OL though. I sometimes wonder if Donahoe is in their FO, lets address everything but our weakest spot.
