The Denver Post reports even before the Broncos went after DE Patrick Kerney on the free-agent market, DE Courtney Brown realized his future in the NFL was in question. Brown might be cut soon to create salary cap room. The former Penn State star missed the entire 2006 season because of an injured left knee that required surgery, and his recovery hasn't progressed as hoped. "If the knee comes around, I'm willing," Brown said Sunday. "But if the knee doesn't, then my options are narrowed quite a bit. ... It feels great for normal, everyday life, but we're still working on getting it football-ready."
Sounds as if hes damaged goods, but maybe worth a minimum vet contract.
