Well chicago needs a back now and it wouldn't shock me if they took one in the 31st pick or 37th pick. So i believe this makes lynch the bills pick , because they wont have a shot at Bush in the second round.

Damn... Jets got a sweet deal... Where was Marv? We coold have given our 44th plus McGahee.

Inner division trade wouldn't be the move for the bills. They won't want to see willis twice a year.

i misunderstood before, but no that you clearified the deal sounds even worse. Too much for jones.

Maybe for Briggs i'd think about it.

so much for getting a 2nd for mcgahee.... they couldn't even get one for jones

I'd have gone Willis + Spikes + #12 for Jones AND Briggs!!!!

if I was a Jets fan I'd be pretty pumped right now. they got Thomas Jones and didn't even lose their 2nd round pick--just moved down.

Is he not as good as I think he is? the bears really didn't score too much for him

This kind of sucks. Jones has the ability to drag our DL through the mud for years to come. I have to hand it to the Jets, they've been doing well for themselves the psat two years and might potentially be vying for another AFC East Championship.

I wouldnt go that far, right now the Pat's distanced themselves with some of their pickups, im still wondering why the hell they paid Welker that much money!! They must think he is their next Tim Dwight!

There has been speculation that we traded a 2nd rounder for him and that was it, but it is comfirmed that we swapped 2nd round picks and got Jones!!

CAN YOU SAY GRAND THEFT LARCENY!!!

Holy **** what a steal for the Jets.

This gives me one of the most dangerous offenses in the league. They already had an above average QB and pasing game, they have a potentially dominant OL led by Brick and Mangold, and now they have a legit RB as well.

DAMN..

My first thought was we gotta trade willis over to Chicago.. but he's the same kind of RB as Benson.. They won't want Willis, not too mention they are cheap and wouldn't pay him to extend anyway.

Im starting to think we're stuck with Willis for 2006..

Regardless, this greatly improves the Jets.. One of the best moves since FA started imo

Moving up from 63 to 37 works out to be the same as a high 3rd according to those draft boards. A high 3rd for TJones should eman about the same (MAYBE a tad more) for McGahee. Now if we could only find a suitor. "Hello, Green Bay? Yeah, Buffalo here. How would you like to add McGahee to Moss so you could bring in two cancers at the same time? Don't worry... I'm sure Favre can keep them on the right track."

I know, i wonder if they will trade Urlacher for a slice of bread.

One of the columnists from Chicago said that the Bears traded Jones for a piece of lint!

Yeah, for the last few months I've been saying that the Jets are a good RB away from being a strong playoff contender and then they go and get Thomas Jones for peanuts. Grrrr.....why does our division always have to have the strongest teams? Except for the Dolphins, this will be a tough division once again!!!

Don't count out the Dolphins. They still have Randy McMich....no.....Joey Harrin.....no......Wes Welk......no.......Jeno Ja......no......Oh yeah they signed David Martin! That's it!
