Giants offered a 4th for Willis?!

Well isn't that a slap in the face Willy boy? Maybe that will knock some well needed sense into you as the rest of the league is now seeing that the Bills are stacking their trash at the neighbors curb.

A 4th? Wow....I almost think the Bills should take it...almost.

    Giants best option: Rhodes

The Giants let Dominic Rhodes leave without signing a contract, so their backfield situation remains somewhat in flux. They still need a complement to Brandon Jacobs, although there is always the draft, and there are always a few more free agent/trade options.
They've inquired about Willis McGahee in Buffalo, apparently offering a fourth-round pick. There's the possibility of dealing for Tatum Bell, who was traded from Denver to Detroit.

keep him, he's worth more to us then a 4th rounder. Bills will be drafting a running back this year.

You know the more and more articles I read on the Giants interest in Willis (and the longer the Giants wait) they're going to HAVE to bite the bullett and give the Bills a 3rd rounder for McGahee. That's IF they really want to fill that RB hole before the draft. I'm almost willing to bet it goes through and gets approved this week.

                  I'll take that bet!

Willis will certainly be traded before opening day.

With Ahman Green gone to the Texans, don't forget Green Bay as a possible landing place for Willis. The Packers know that B.Favre is only going to stick around if he feels that they have a chance to be competitive and they won't have a chance to be competitive without a decent running game. I know GB likes some of its back-ups, but they are just back up RBs and, for all of McGahee's faults, they are not in the same class as Willis.

For that reason, I think Green Bay is in need of a starting-caliber RB, like McGahee, even worse than the NY Giants are and could end up being a player in the McGahee market. So could Oakland, if Jordan forces them to release him. GB can't count on M.Lynch falling to them in the first round and Oakland can't count on R.Bush still being on the board in the second with Cleveland, Buffalo and the Giants all potentially needing a RB going into the draft.

Yes, D.Rhodes and J.Lewis are still out there, but Baltimore really wants to get Lewis back at a lower price than they were paying him and, even with Lewis in the market, McGahee is arguably better than both of those guys. So, there is a possible market for Willis, if things fall right for the Bills.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Can I get a piece of that too? There is no way we keep him if the right offer comes along (which it eventually will). I'll even go less if you want to... I just need some damn zone bucks.
