***DISCLAIMER***
I am not gonna "Skooby" the post by creating a title like "Buffalo trading for Briggs!!!111! OMG!!!!!" I simply heard this on the radio just now, in no way shape or form am I saying its fact or will happen. I will be the first to move it to spam if its proves to be garbage. Again pure speculation, just posting news I heard. I havent seen it anywhere yet so I am hesitant to even post this, again...just a rumor.
There is a radio sports show that plays locally here, well im sure there are a few, but this is the only one I occasionally listen to. I put the radio on in the background while doing work.
Anyway just now I heard mention of the Bills/Levy so I turned it up. I missed the first part but the following is what I heard, not word for word but as close as I could put it together:
".........Levy's desire for Briggs in Buffalo is no secret, the Bills need a LB so it makes sense. Especially if Spikes is moved. Levy was rumored to have Briggs as his number 1 target in FA if Briggs made it that far.
Talks between the Bears and Briggs are at a standstill and it appears they are going nowhere. Briggs has openly voiced his desire to be traded.
With Jauron and Levy both familiar with Briggs and the situation, contact was made to enquire about a price tag for Briggs as well as contract demands. Levy is not only very interested but is rumored to have offered a package of draft picks as well as potentially Takeo Spikes.
While there is no official word, and several teams are likely interested the "Chicago Connection" appears to be the front runners at least for the moment."
This was a conversation with the host of the show and someone else I didnt catch the other guys name. I dont think he was rich or Skooby. So who knows.
After this he thanked whoever it was and they went to a commercial, when they came back he started in with basketball.
I believe they were talking about Linebackers for the Saints and thats how they got to Briggs.
