Just read on another board that an Oakland radio station said thePatriots have given the Raiders a 2nd round pick in exchange for WR Randy Moss. Can anyone confirm this?

The Pats currently don't have a 2nd round pick.

I think they are being pranked. Their mods aren't as on the ball as ours.

I totally agree. Those fools gave up a 2nd and 7th rounder for Welker, plus a guaranteed $10 million to him. There's no way they would also pay BIG bucks to Randy Moss, plus give up a 1st or 3rd rounder. :shakeno:

I think Welker's a scrappy little guy and a very good player. And far be it from me to criticize the Pats personnel decisions. But that seems like a lot. Not so much the money, but giving up the picks seems uncharacteristic of the Pats.

Thank you, I'm soo sick of people sucking off the Patriots because of their rings. Hello! When was their last Super Bowl? It wasn't this year. It wasn't last year. Maybe, just maybe, Belichick realizes that he needs to change his cheap ways and start spending money and making bold moves in free agency to keep up with everyone else. Maybe he realizes that he should have kept Branch last year and paid him the money. Maybe he realizes that he cost himself the Super Bowl by letting Adam Vinatieri walk over a few million dollars. :idunno:

Either way, this new Patriots way is very intriguing to me. They are doing the complete opposite from what we are used to seeing. Hopefully it doesn't work and actually bites him in the ass.
