    Chris Browns stats

They really arent that bad. I think his big problem is the injury bug.

The big think that impresses me is the yards per carry being so repeatable and the 04 and 05 seasons.

The thing thats scary is how he hasnt played a whole season yet.

I think durability is a big issue.

i dont like the fact that in only one year he averaged over 4 ypc. he seems more of a north/south runner and id like to see us go more in the way of a faster scat back. but hey if marv thinks he's right for the team then in marv I trust.

The guy looks like a WR when he runs through the whole... which makes him so easy to get JACKED UP!

While maybe for one season I could deal with he or rhodes neither is impressive. Both should be backups.

i had chris brown on my fantasy team the year he broke 1000 in 11 games.. he had a game against miami in which he had 150 in the first half and then got injured right before half time..

this guys is a good running back when healthy.. i just dont trust that he can be healthy over a season.. again.. as a back up, he would be absolutely awesome.

I hope we pass, he's injury prone, and not an upgrade over Willis

He's an upgrade over Willis, easily. He's neither lazy or stupid, good skills, looks like a decent receiver. Injury-prone for sure, but hopefully our coaching staff can get him to play lower and draft a back in the 2nd or 3rd so he doesn't have to carry the load by himself. All in all, would be a lateral move if McGahee had a brain and actually cared....but since McGahee fits neither, it's a slight improvement...
Good riddance Fairchild. Of course, the knowledge of your departure will only make TE more hateable than the typical Bills QB. Good luck, hope we don't mess you up like JP.

brown as a starter is not as good as willis.. but he would be a better back up than anything we have had here since kenith davis.

                  Re: Chris Browns stats

When he's healthy, Brown is a threat to take it to the house if he gets a hole (something Willis hasn't shown a lot), but Brown gets injured a lot because of his upright running style. I wouldn't mind having him in a tandem with a rookie RB for a year, although the prospect of having a rookie starting with S.Williams backing him up if Brown should get injured (as he probably would) and miss some time scares me.

Still, I rather see the Bills go that route and then draft their "franchise" back in next year's draft, which looks like it could be quite deep at the RB position, than keep an unhappy McGahee (who is very likely to be quite unhappy about not getting an extension and being on the trading block--and, as a result, unlikely to be willing to improve his work habits--this season).
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

I'm convinced that we live with Willis for another season, hoping that he will get motivated in his contract year, or find his replacement in the draft. Guys like Brown and Rhodes are not feature backs.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Is Willis? Not in Buffalo, he ain't....

just curious as to where all these reports of willis's horrible work habbits have come from? i know he doesnt work out in buffalo like a lot of great miami players, but their workouts in miami are as tough if not tougher when they train together in miami...

what is it that has caused people to say he has horrible work habbits?

i can see that he has not been as effective as we had hoped, but i dont get the latest critism of him.

Exactly.. Ideally he will be the new A Train and we'll get a real good back in the draft.

Lynch and C Brown would be simply amazing!

What would we do at LB and CB then?

Thinking Youboty/Greer/Thomas could fill in decently I guess.

We would need to keep Spikes then!
