Lions | C. Brown not scheduled to meet team
Tue, 6 Mar 2007 21:42:41 -0800
Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports free agent RB Chris Brown (http://www.kffl.com/player/5894/nfl) (Titans) is not scheduled to meet with the Detroit Lions (http://www.kffl.com/team/16/nfl).

He was supposed to go to Detroit if he didn't sign with us. Maybe something? Maybe not? Discuss.

Who knows?

I know he has been injury prone but I'm willing to give him a year to prove he can stay healthy.

That's the whole key with this guy is he has to stay healthy. From a physical standpoint he appears to have a lot going for him.

Its not worth much if he's not on the field. I'd be willing to give him a one year gamble if get a guy like Leonard to play along side of him. Just be ready to see Shaud Williams in the backfield a little more often.

There has also been reports that the Titans want Brown back. He could have worked out a preliminary contract with his old team as well. Too much to speculate.

I think Brown would be our A-Train and the Bills will use their 1st rd pick to snare a young RB. Or they will let McGahee play out his contract.

The problem here is if the Bills trade McGahee before the draft it will open the eyes of many teams who might want to trade up ahead of the bills and snag the RB we covet.
