Over paid my ass. If he turns out to be as good as they think, his salary in 2011-2013 will be peanuts. If not, they don't pay him anyways.

What was the signing bonus again? There's only about $27 million accounted for there... where did the other $22 million go? Must be roster bonuses. Either way, he will cost more than this... these numbers are a bit deceiving. Remember that you are only looking at base salary.

Since when do bonuses not count against the cap?

LOL

Did it ever occur to you that there's about $20M missing from those salary figures?

Now where do you think those come in?

They said in all the papers that he got $18 million in guaranteed bonus money. That's what is missing. It's probably a signing bonus and then a roster bonus next year.

but will reportedly make $18 million over three years and $23 million over five years. It's essentially a five-year deal.

Probably large sized roster bonus's in years 6 and 7.

Kinda like the one TH had in his contract that got him cut.

There is NOTHING wrong with that contract and anyone who thinks there is will be eating their words when he helps get Jason Peters into the Pro Bowl and gets in himself. :::

Probably incentives and signing bonus. That why they say on 18 mill guaranteed. The rest he has to earn!
