All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports free agent RB Chris Brown (Titans) is not scheduled to meet with the Detroit Lions.

I also heard he canceled the detriot trip. Good,he can take Vallerial's position as the most injury prone bill.
Chris Brown has the ability to be a damn good running back. The key is if he can stay healthy. Maybe with our new line, it will help protect him a bit as they open holes. Or if we draft a RB on the first day, they can both share the carries and that will help keep him healthier than normal....
I have to be honest, I really dont care one way or the other.
I'd rather have Rhodes, I'd settle for Brown; but ultimately I hope they land themselves a really good RB in the draft who will be a better pro than either of them.
BTW, I am really starting to wonder if Marv is trying to move McGahee's salary now because he is working on acquiring Lance Briggs. We all know that he and Jauron covet Briggs. Maybe they are trying to make room for him....

LEWIS UNLIKELY TO TAKE RAVENS OFFER: Jamal Lewis has been given a 'take it or leave it' offer from the Ravens to re-sign with the club. He's not expected to take it and reportedly has until today to officially decide. That means the Ravens could be a potential landing spot for you know who. Lewis is reportedly visiting the Browns today. ---

I'd take Brown, but I hope they re-sign A-train or another GOOD backup RB just in case. There's no way Brown can carry more than 15-20 times a game every week.

I think he's trying to move his salary, but I dont think its for Briggs.. Nearly everyone covets Briggs, who wouldn't?
I dont think Briggs is going anywhere, I really dont.. Dont get me wrong, I'd piss myself in excitement if we ever got him.. I just dont see it happening.. He's TOO important to that Chicago defense for them to give up because he's unhappy about being franchised.
Meanwhile, the Bills spent an awful lot of money on the OL, and they still have many other things they need to take care of. Getting rid of Reyes, with Holcomb soon to follow, and probable trades with Willis and Spikes for draft picks will recoup a lot of that money back.
I think we are going to sign one of the top 4 vet RB's;
Brown
A-train
Rhodes
Lewis
and then take a RB in the draft, but I dont think we have any intention of signing two vet RB's. Just imo, and I think Atrain is asking for higher numbers than Levy is willing to pay him.
COMING SOON...

I agree. Brown needs to understand that he's not coming in as the man. He'll be sharing carries. I'd like to have either Rhodes/Brown tandem, Lewis/Brown, or Rhodes/A-Train. No way I'd make Brown the starting back, even with A-Train as a backup.
