    Chris Brown

    Lets start by looking at Brown's first year as a true starter 2004;

    He started 11 games and he carried the ball over 20 times 5 times, and over 30 1 time. He was under 15 carries 2 times. He averaged 20 carries per game, and 4.9 ypc

    In 2005 he stared 14 games and played in 15. He carried the ball 20 times or more 5 times. He carried the ball 10 times or less 5 times. He averaged 14.9 carries. He rushed for 851 yards but only avg 3.8 ypc.

    So what does this tell you?

    Well two things one, if he averages over 20 carries a game he likely not to get through the whole season, BUT he does tend to need the carries in order to really gain yards on the ground. Tennessee has always had a solid line, but never a big run blocking mauling line, so will his results be different? I dont know, but we need him to prolly carry the ball about 17 times a game, with a rookie to take it 7-10 carries a game ala Warrick Dunn-Jerious Norwood type of ratio in Atlanta this year.
