Well, can we get him?

IN the draft

I don't think he makes it past the Vikes, Texans and even the Browns (thought they reportedly just inked Lewis).

The Bills would have to move up.

Ya never know ... I think just about everything hinges on where Quinn goes

If he drops past Tampa at #4 and Marv and Co. really want him, then with an extra second the Bills might have enough firepower to move up and get him.

If the Bills have to move up to #3, then I think the price would be too steep.

we'd have to trade up and it would cost way more than he's worth.

Vikings gave Chester Taylor a pretty big deal, didnt't they?

The Vikings have Chester Taylor who had a very good year.... the Vikings need a WR and DE very badly.... I see them taking Adams, Anderson, Jarred, Rice, Ginn all before a RB.

Peterson falling to us would be a blessing imo

I don't know anything about him, other than his name. Someone, please inform me.

But both Green and Lewis are older versions of their prior selves. I can still see either team grabbing him.

And even if not, someone will bounce up to snag this cat if Buffalo doesn't punch in first.

Texans have Domanick Davis and Cleveland Rueben Droughns as their second backs to compliment their new FA's.

Well its very likely at this point.... no team ahead of us needs a RB

Raiders- Jordan and too high for peterson as well as other needs

Lions- Will go OL or QB I doubt they take a RB with K. Jones and Bell.

Cleveland- Lewis

Tampa- Cadillac

Arizona-- James

Washington-- Portis/Betts

Minnesota-- Chester

Houston- Green

Miami-- Brown

Atlanta--- only real possibility to take him--- but I think they need defensive help and will take Landry.

SF --- Gore

Davis probally won't play because of his knee problem. It might be career threatening. Peterson could possible drop to buffalo though.

Well I guess there's always a possibility. Still, it would mean him sliding through the top 11 before landing in Buffalo. That's a long haul.

no way in hell does he drop to 12

Texans have Domanick Davis and Cleveland Rueben Droughns as their second backs to compliment their new FA's. and d davis is still a good back there (depending on his situation with his knee).. he just got screwed over by getting hurt last season but he had a monster season the year before. Droughns hasnt done anything in cleveland so that isnt much assurance there

Even having a good RB doesnt mean nothing.. Saints last year couldnt pass on Bush even with Mcallister.. Not sure teams even with Green/Lewis could pass on Peterson.. Even though Bush and Peterson cant be compared..

I know Houston fans are still pissed about the Bush thing, I think they'd riot if they passed on the best back again. I could be wrong.

Dominick Davis(who has changed it to Williams now) has on the Texans boards as probably being cut. His injury has not progessed as hoped and he is due for another surgery coming up. Signing of Ahman Green was the death knell for him as a starter. The Texans fans seem bummed because they liked him and hope he can come back eventually, but from the sound of it, it's not gonna be anytime soon.

(on the status of RB Domanick Williams) “Domanick actually went and visited the doctor. He had some swelling in his knee. He’s been doing a really nice job in the rehab process and it actually had gotten to a point in the rehab process where he was strength training more than anything. He had some swelling in his knee a couple of weeks ago and we sent him to a specialist in Atlanta, and he’s going to have to have some additional surgery, so the jury’s still out on where he is in his rehab process. He did experience a setback, so we’re not sure what’s going to happen with Domanick.”

i think that the texans are pretty happy with Wali Lundy backing up Green once Davis is gone... he's solid

I live in Houston, NO CHANCE IN HELL PETERSON gets by the Texans....
This is all they talk about on the Radio down here....PEterson, Carr and Quinn......Bills aren't going to have the opportunity to take peterson unless we move up to the top 5 if not 3

Thats what i was thinking. I think the Texans are the only threat now. Idealy I would love to see the Bills swap 1st rounders with Minnesota as well as give up one of our second rounders (assuming the Willis deal goes through).

Browns are still gonna take him, IMO.

I think the Lewis deal is only for a year, and either way, I don't see them passing Peterson up.

Bills would have to move up.. Not sure how much, but I cant see him lasting past the fifth pick.. at the latest.

IF not us, someone would move up with a team like Arizona or Washington to get him. NO way he goes from being a top three lock to the 12th pick.

To echo Mr Burgundy...Lewis only got signed to a one year deal in Cleveland...He could spend the year care-taking and mentoring AP meanwhile, I've heard that Droughns has one foot out the door already basically. Apparently they weren't enamored with his production last year.

Texans need a QB, so I see them taking Quinn over Peterson, particularly since they just gave Ahman good money.

Browns signed Lewis, but it's only a 1-year deal, so I think they'll look at AP.

Yeah but the Browns only signed him to a one year deal. I would not rule out them drafting him.

well said mr. burgundy. peterson is a hell of an athelete and a hell of a back but i just cant get past his injury issues. i think marshawn lynch is a safer pick for the bills PLUS we most likely wont have to move up to get him. but thats IF the bills go with an RB in the first. we'll see how this willis situation pans out first.

Nooo way do the Texans draft a QB..They havent totally given up on Carr yet..

Nooo way do the Texans draft a QB..They havent totally given up on Carr yet.. i agree he had a few decent years i dont see them trying to get rid of Carr yet so I unfortunately see them going for AP.. Ahman Green has been terrible the past few years with injuries and plus I think they wanna ensure they dont end up like they did last year rb-wise by not drafting the best projected rb and then watching as their starting rb gets hurt for the year and for him to be replaced by a putrid alternative.. look for them to grab adrian instead

Don't Panic

If teams pull the trigger on Petersen whe they already have a strating quality RB, then we should think about making an offer for him. Droughens/Taylor (especially Taylor) would be better fills than Dillon/Rhodes/Brown. Maybe we wait and see what's out there after the draft. Plus, if he slides, we could trade up to Miami and grab him on draft day. It's a bit of a gamble, but the payoff is huge.

I wonder what the cap hit would be for Houston to dump Domanick. He was given a pretty hefty contract and they might not like having to eat it AND pay Ahman Green AND pay Peterson also...

And last I heard, they didn't seem to be too happy with Carr...If Oakland goes another route as well as Detroit, some unexpected people might fall. With the way things going, I'm thinking the top few picks might change to:

Oak: Calvin Johnson (WR)
Det: Brady Quinn (QB)
TB: Gaines Adams/Jamaal Anderson (DE) ?
Browns: Joe Thomas (OT) or Jemarcus Russell (QB)
