      ya this is confirmed.

Find this interesting.. As maybe the Browns arent taking Peterson now.. Maybe they may target Quinn?

I'd like to hear Funtimesyay(Browns guy) thoughts on this move.

Think about it...Why would you sign a RB to an older running back to a one year deal? To tutor and carry the early load while a youngster learns the ropes-playbook,schemes, etc.

Droughns isn't young, he doesn't need this. Lewis and Droughns are the same type of back as well, so splitting carries between them makes absolutely no sense.

Jerome Harrison, second in rushing 2 years ago in college football, already had one year of learning behind the same type of back as Droughns, so it's not for that.

The organization wasn't happy with Droughns from camp, all the way through his lackluster injury riddled season.

It's easy to see, they're looking to cut their losses with Droughns either via trade or outright release. Knowing Savage, he'll trade him for a mid round pick to someone.

They brought in Jamal to do a couple things, mentor AP, split carries and take some of the load off of APs back...ie caretaker.

If Cleveland wanted a runningback to shoulder the load and draft Quinn, which by the way, the main QB they've talked up is JMarc, Randy Lerner-Browns owner seems to like the guy...they would have tried to work a trade for McGahee, Turner or signed a younger back not signed an older veteran to a 1 year deal.

Lewis plays caddy for a year, AP learns the league, Lewis goes back into FA to find another jobby. Easy solution for everyone and Lewis with another season of posting good numbers can cash in on a free agent deal.
