An NFL TV analyst once said — who he was I can’t recall — that a franchise should neither inundate its roster with players drafted out of the University of Miami nor ignore them altogether. His judgment was that two from The U’s just about right, the implication being that two’s enough to spice a roster with talent but too few to contaminate the locker room with the frat boy mentality common among those exposed to the school’s football curriculum and sundry entitlements. I think we can all agree there’s a U in humility but no humility in The U. Such an assertion amounts to stereotyping of course, since not everyone who played football at Miami is trouble waiting to happen, although’s there’s certainly enough history to give the base theory a test drive. The Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts have one player drafted from the U, wideout Reggie Wayne. The New England Patriots, three-time champs this decade, have two ’Canes, defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and ancient emergency quarterback
Vinny Testaverde. Undrafted free agents are excluded from the tally since it’s hard to cop an attitude if you went to the U and still failed to make it to the big board.

Yeah yeah. The U jokes are getting old. Everyone has a wise ass comment to say about it. It's funny how everyone loves those players till they screw up once then it's all about how bad The U is. STFU.
