hey guys.. i thought i would share. i sent this to chris brown on BB.com about a week ago.
he responded with the following tonight.
i was kind of hoping he would help enlighten me about walker, but he really didnt make me feel any better.. lol.. but at least there is an option if walker fails.

I keep up with your page daily and I really appreciate all that you do to keep us Bills fans that can't rely on local media informed. I live in the heart of Redskins country (Richmond, Virginia) and I can tell you now the Dockery is going to be a huge signing for us on the left side. I couldn't be happier, regardless of cost.
I am, however, somewhat more hesitant to do a cartwheel about Walker. In looking at the number, he was the Raiders worst lineman last year in terms of sacks allowed (11) and penalties. The reports on the raiders boards were that he could not handle speed rushers at all and was prone to losing concentration during games, thus the penalties. BUT I also read a few reports that he was solid when he had limited time at guard.
I can't understand why they would want to move a guy like Butler, who was a good tackle in college. And Pennington didnt seem to be the weak link at RT. With RG clearly the more glaring spot, why grab Walker to play RT?
Do you think there is any chance he could be used at guard?

Thanks for the kinds words. I don't think there's much of a chance he plays guard. I think they're planning on him at RT. I too am a bit leery about Walker. His problem is change of direction. He can't re-set very well and gets killed on double moves or counter moves by d-linemen.
On a separate issue the reason Pennington didn't appear to be a problem was because he was constantly getting help from the tight ends and the backs. The main reason Robert Royal didn't do much on the receiving end until late in the season was because he had to stay on the line to help Pennington in pass protection.
Pennington is worth developing, but he's far from ready to handle stuff one-on-one full time anyway.
