All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
After the experience last year with us laughing at Mayock and eating crow, I won't say this guy is smoking crack. But Joe Thomas dropping to 6 and Calvin Johnson dropping to 7 really doesn't seem possible. Plus he had us taking Landry, as if we don't have enough safeties on our squad LOL.
I actually believe that Landry is a likely pick......Whitner has played CB, so has Landry and i think i recall Simpson also playing CB and chances are that one of them will succeed at the position in the NFL
According to Silverman he can play corner too. He's certainly got plenty of speed for corner, running a 4.35 at the combine. If Buffalo thought they wanted to play him at corner, he might be a possibility. There are times when the other team has a big receiver that it would be extremely helpful to be able to counter with a good sized corner. He also had one of the better vertical jumps among free safeties.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

12. Bills LaRon Landry FS 6-2 208 LSU
A knockout hitter who has the intelligence, instincts and physical talent to change a game around. Landry will fly to the football and make plays. He is a versatile player who can also play corner or strong safety. Buffalo coach Dick Jauron is a former defensive back, and Landry will allow him to turn that area into a strength for the Bills.
Can also play corner doesn't mean you have a 1 in 3 chance that Simpson, Whitner or Landry would be a good corner in the league. It means they can cover one on one if the coach asks them to. Instead of being a safety.
