Bruce Smith: Bill or Redskin

ESPN Bottom line is reporting that the Buffalo News in reporting that Bruce Smith will "return to the team next year". They make no reference as to whether that means the Bills or Redskins.

However, there is nothing in the Buffalo News about it.

I saw that yesterday and my heart stopped thinking that we could have 78 back to break the record, then I realized that what the Cliff Notes version of the story ment that the agent told the Buffalo News that Bruce was playing this season, not retiring, as a Redskin.
I was so pissed at that ticker after I got out me 'Little Orphan Annie' decoder ring and found out what the message really ment.

If you saw a news story with Drew Bledsoe, and he said he would "Return to the Team" I'll bet you would not automatically assume the Patriots...

I would if it was reported by the Boston Globe! The bottomline says "Buffalo News reports that Washington DE Bruce Smith will return to the team next year" Why wouldn't the Washington Post report it instead of the Buffalo news?

It didn't say return to team either all it said was will return next year which left everyone confused. Go Bills!

The article I saw, sorry can't remember where, said that he was returning to Washington for one more year. I am pretty sure that is where he is going to end up this year, anything else is purely speculation.
