You think we can get Priest Holmes for a 4th round pick? You do realize that we got 3 picks for McGahee, a guy who has regressed every year he has played?

For one, theres is no way the Chiefs trade him right now, and even if they did, it would take a 1st rounder and a player, at a minimum.

His injuries are much worse than Brown's.

no way is priest holmes worth a 1st rounder anymore, not even a 2nd or 3rd with his injury history, imo

You are ****ing insane. Holmes has a bad neck injury and is pretty much retired. If he were to play again no way the Chiefs would get a 1st rounder for a 32 year old RB with major injury concerns.

Bert I am not hating on your idea. I would bring in Holmes if he can still play and doesn't cost much.

How do you know all of this - it's been a while since I last heard Priest Holmes' name in highlights - like 2 or 3 seasons...

I really don't think Marshall Faul has it any more.

I'd take a shot at Martin - he did lead the league in total yards just the season before last - though only as a stop-gap.

                            Re: Priest Holmes

Nobody is talking about Priest Holmes because he is the past, not the future.

The guy is going into his 11th year in the league.

                            He got hurt in 2004.

His 2005 season was cut short by a spinal cord injury, which didn't heal in time for the 2006 season and caused him to miss the entire 2006 season on injured reserve.

In other words, the guy has played 15 games over the last three seasons, and not at all last year.

Even if he does pass the physical, I wouldn't want him as anything other than a backup or third down back. I wouldn't dream of giving up a 4th rounder for Priest this year. It's time for Priest to join Art Monk at the monastery.

We need to draft a back early and give him plenty of playing time.

I want to publicly apologize about saying Priest Holmes was worth a 1st round pick and more. I was confused when I wrote that post. I was thinking of a guy named Larry Johnson. My bad.

                              It's the meds.
