I love them both but I would choose Peterson. I doubt Peterson is there when we pick though.

Peterson is more of a open field speedster, whereas Lynch seems to have more moves and skills, enough power if need be.

          I'll take Lynch.

            Peterson without hesitating.

Didnt he have like 1800 yards a freshman?

2-3 years....How has Lynch been injury wise during college? We all know about Peterson and his injuries

Lynch drops to our pick no matter what. I think if Peterson drops to us (unlikely, but a possibility), we take him. If not, we take Lynch, and we're happy, because they're both really talented backs who have tons of potential & either will do well behind our new line. The plus with Lynch is that he won't take as much of a beating as Peterson because of his style, and will likely be less injury-prone as a result.

I had been thinking that a defensive pick like Hall or Okoye would be a better 1st round bet, & then pick up someone like Bush later on, but RB is going to be a key position for us, and I don't think we'd miss with Peterson or Lynch.

Re: Lynch stats versus Peterson stats

Obviously, Peterson and Lynch are going to be the first two backs to go...as sure as JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn are going to be the top two QBs. It looks a lot like the first running back to go will be Peterson...if he falls to us (which I wouldn't count on), I will endlessly be tortured by Buffalo fans who won't stop shouting "Yo, Adrian." Argh! I've still got my "Whatchoo talkin' bout Willis" hangover. Anyway, it might be worth it to offer our first and a third to move up and grab Peterson.

The second back taken will be Lynch. He will probably fall to us, and if he does, I hope we grab him straight up.

                      I like both these guys.

Interestingly enough, they are both forgoing their senior years of college. Our trend in last years draft was picking up players that chose to forgo their senior years.

I hope we get one of them.

What are their pass receiving stats? As I recall, one of the big plusses that Lynch has is that he is a very good receiver out of the backfield. Lynch's verstility as a receiver is what separates him from the second tier of RBs (Irons, Pittman, Hunt, etc.), but how does he compare to Peterson and Bush in that regard?
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

I don't think that Lynch has missed a game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I would love to have Lynch but I think Patrick Willis might be a better pick at 12. Maybe we can trade back into the 1st round and still get Lynch? WOW!
