    Julius Jones can be had

    From Chris Brown at BB.com...

JULIUS JONES BEING OFFERED: Dallas Cowboys RB Julius Jones is apparently available for the right price according to the Philadelphia Daily News. If you scroll down to the Around the League section you'll see that the Cowboys are apparently set to hitch their wagon to Marion Barber, making Jones expendable. Wonder if Buffalo is interested?

I don't think I'd offer more than 4th round pick for him in light of what the market has shown for RB trades.

**I'd sign up for this in two seconds flat. Trade for Jones, sign Dillon, and you have a ridiculous one-two punch of speed and power.

Edit: Nvm Dillon, since we just re-upped A-Train.

Jones and A-Train? I'd be willing to give it a shot. I'm torn on what they should do at 12.

I wouldn't give up too much. Definately less than they got for McGahee.

Re: Julius Jones can be had

        Player Rushes Tot Avg TD

        Willis McGahee 259 990 3.8 6

        Julius Jones 267 1084 4.1 4

and remember Marion Baber got :

        Marion Barber 135 654 4.8 14

So I would give up the 3rd we got for Willis for J. Jones.

          No Thanks
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Id give up that Baltimore third for Jones in a second.

It would be then become a McGahee for Jones and a 2008 3rd round deal..
To me that's worth it.. Julius Jones is better than you think. Personally, I also think he's better than McGahee.

Why pass if that was the deal offered?

Jones is better than any of these third round rated RB's in the draft. (Pittman, Irons, Hunt, Walker, Henry)

Why? He doesn't fumble, has good speed, and from what I know about him, he is a decent guy! You can still grab a back in the 2nd or 3rd round and have a pretty decent 1-2 punch for a long time!

Injured too much, goes down at contact, is not a 20+ carry a game back, sucks as a pass catcher, thinks he is due for a big pay day.

Major. Missed twelve games in three seasons.

I'll take a career avg of 4 yards a carry, and 7.7 yards after the catch, and as far as injuries he missed 2 games this year, most backs arenn't going to go the whole year without some kind of onjury. Par him with a 2nd or 3rd round back this year you have a damn good 1-2 punch for a long time.

I'd give up either one of our 3rd rounders in a heartbeat and then forget about drafting a RB until day 2.

                              I'd give up Baltimore's 3rd next year and Baltimore's 7th this year.
