maybe they can also resign Andre Davis.

Jesus, this team almost made the Super Bowl with no WR's.. If your a fantasy football guy you may want to draft Brady early this year.

They still have no TRUE #1 receiver though.

the pats for a long time never had a true number one receiver even when they won the superbowl.

Doubt it - if Belechik doesn't want him you better believe he's a scrub.

Although don't be shocked if Davis is our #2 receiver in 2007 given the front offices mindset of late.

Was Branch ever a true #1? Is he now?

Branch(while a fine player) wasn't a game breaking #! receiver,i think troy brown of 2000-2002 was a better player imho.

I think the point is the Pats have upgraded by any measure at the position. They have done as much as they could to upgrade. Remember, Marvin Harrison wasn't available.

They have a lot more talent at WR than they did when they opened up the season against Buffalo last year with Troy Brown and Reche Caldwell starting, and Bam Childress as their 3rd WR.

Well, we'll see. They definitely upgraded the LBs with Thomas. Kyle Brady and Sammy Morris aren't much of an addition. Seems they're stocked at WR with a bunch of number 2 guys.

Thing is I'm not sure they need a true number one. Brady does a good job of spreading the ball around and they routinely seem to find a way to make that team perform above the sum of its parts. IMO they have had a pretty good off-season and given the WR market done about a good a job as they could have to upgrade their weakest position from last year. Just mean all the rest of us in the AFC East need to be that much better to knock them off.

morris and brady are both going to be reserve players. Brady will be used to fill grahams role as the lead blocking te and morris will fill in fine with maroney and faulk. They didn't sign these players to do anything special.

They still have no TRUE #1 receiver though.Do they honestly need one? It is imposible to cover Stallworth 1 on 1, Welker is a great 3rd down reciever, Ben Watson is one of the best TE's in the league, Caldwell,Gaffney,Washington are better than any reciever we got besides Lee.
