    we need another speedy WR...

    ...here's why:

Playing in Buffalo, especially late December, and I plan on playing a few games in January...points are an abberation. Full-80 yard touch down drives dont come often in blizzardous conditions. Big plays usually determine those games. We need all the game-breakers we can have to win those ones. We need another speedster to compliment/compete with Reed for the #2/#3 spots. I can see it now...Josh Reed doing what Riems couldnt do, freeing up Moulds down the middle. Someone like Dyson doing what Price did, stretch the field. Spread em out, and pound them in the gut behind our improved offensive line with Trav.

    I vote Kevin Dyson.

    Go bills!

I vote Dyson too but ONLY as a #3 slot reciever. I want Reed's full potential to be explored, he should get a chance to prove he deserves the #2 spot, which I think he will definately be able to do.
    Beware the sack master!

Reed is NOT a #3 reciever, nor should he be treated as such, I am adamant about this. We are just lucky to be so deep at WR last year, and if we get Dyson we will be deep this year, but I have complete faith in Reed. He is a better reciever than Price, you all make it sound like he's slow or somethign when he's not, he's just not as fast as Price. He's faster than a lot of #2 and some #1 recivers in the nfl.

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks we don't need an overpriced track star IMO two big blocking TE's a huge O-line with another year of experience equals 1,600 for Travis which brings 8 into the box all the time which opens up Moulds and Reed even more than speed on the outside would. Who had speed on Oakland this year ? Only Garner!! Those slow old men seemed to get open a little. Maybe I'm wrong.

No, you are right, but if we can get a reasonably priced track star all the better right?

The only problem w/ that reasoning JtBF is that Dyson would be on IR in January!

              Hey sean,

Fully agree! But as long as Gilbride doesn't make it another personal challenge to pass the ball for whatever his reasons were, I can see Henry approaching 2,000 yards.

Henry had over 1,400 last year and was grossly underused for around 10 games. So add another third to that and he's near 2,000. If our D is gonna be as good as it appears to be headed, then we'd be fools not to run Henry as much as we can. 25-30 carries/game.

As well, enter Reed to replace Price, Moore over JR, and Henry in his third season w/ an OL that promises to be better than last year's, and I can see the passing game being just as productive as last year but on only 3/4 of the attempts. I can see us putting up 24 passing TDs on 3,500 yards w/o many of the INTs b/c teams won't be expecting us to throw.

Given all of this, if Gilbride continues to throw as much as he did last season, half the fans are gonna be ready to toss his arse outta here. There's no reason in the world for us to have to pass nearly as much as last year, over 600 attempts. We should be in the high 400s.

              RUN, RUN, RUN!!!
              D, D, D!!!

              GO BILLS!!!

I'm as excited and expectant now as I was in the early '90s!
Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!

              Then let's go to Disneyworld!

              GO BILLS!!!

I hope Gilbride puts his pride aside and rememders that we threw the ball early in the season because we were despararte for any offense after a 3 win season. Now that we don't suck lets play winning football --- run until they stop us with a nice balanced passing game.

Seano, Joey Porter is a big WR with speed.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
