Cartoon hockey players pop up on the screen DURING PLAY ... Interviews take up a quarter of the screen DURING PLAY ... Boring announcers, bland graphics, 80s music ...

to make it worse,we're going to have a sausage party for pittsburgh with coverage that they're going to stay in pittsburgh and then continue it with a mario lemieux interview.it's bad enough we have to put up the come (sp?) catching caterpillar lip(clement),fred flintstone(jones),and Mullet Jr(engblom) after each intermission.

I've always liked John Edwards though, he and Steve Leavey and Gary Thorne were awesome hockey announcers :up: I thought when they were on ESPN National Hockey Night.

You would think in their 2nd year of covering the NHL vs could get the act together. This is horrible watching them. I know I am spoiled getting to listen RJ all the time , but this just sucks.

The announcers aren't as bad as the Versus announcers I remember from before (unless they just improved dramatically). They are still not RJ. We are spoiled as Sabre fans.

The interview in the corner really pissed me off. There is a time and place for that. During the game, covering up the ice is not that time.

Understood, but them telling me 1 billion times how happy the city and the fans are is starting to make me ill. Pittsburgh is like the Teddy Bruschi of the NHL. Enough already!

If we play them in the Conference Finals, the NHL will do ANYTHING to make sure they beat us. Just wait!
