Anyone got any info on when these are handed out and what are we looking at for losing Clements, Fletcher, but gaining Dockery?

These FA's count towards next years Compensation Picks, unfortunately not this years...

We get none in 2007 and at this point, will not get any in 2008

Nice job Marv on becoming Nate's "*****". Sorry, like Marv and what he's done but this was stupid. We made sure he was in camp so we could go 2-5 before the bye? Plus Nate never played until after the bye anyway. Should have never agreed not to tag him.

Comp. picks are the dumbest thing regarding the draft. The best teams usually get comp. picks and then they build their depth with the picks. They need to do something about that.

Somebody will have to correct me, I can't quite remember. The Bills lost Trey Teague and Ron Edwards to free agency last year. They signed Tripplet so that will negate the loss of Edwards. I don't know if the other free agents they signed will be anything. I also don't know if you get comp. picks for cut players, I don't think you do, because they cut Sam Adams, Lawyer Milloy, and Mike Williams last year. They also traded Moulds. I don't think they lost anyone to free agency worth a comp. pick.

As far as next year, they better get a comp. pick for losing Nate Clements and London Fletcher.

yeah we signed melvin Fowler so that negates Tre Teague, we might get a 7th rounder

Comp picks take into account players lost and players signed. It doesn't include released players, RFA, or any player signed after June 1 (just during the FA period).

If you lose good players and don't sign much from FA, like the Pats did last year, then you are likely to get picks. If you sign guys, that offsets the guys you lose.

Thats not even possible, considering its all decided by a system, there is no variance in it, you get what you get

The reason the Bills will likely not get comp picks in 2008 is because we signed $75 Million worth of OL FA's. Not that the money has much to do with it, but two of those FA's balance off losing Fletcher and Clements.

Clements and Fletcher got $105 Million together and we got Walker and Dockery for $74Million.......I think that $31 Million difference will amount to at least some comp picks!
