ive been hearing a lot that ovechkin said in some interview that he wanted to come to buffalo to play with zubrus (idk if hes upset over the situation in Washington) but its just a rumor right? (and yes i know theres no chance we would get ovechkin)

Hell no, Ovechkin might have a lot of goals and points, but he is also way in the lead of the league in shots. His shooting percentage is really not that good at all. If he were to play for a team that already had a lot of offensive talent where he wouldn't get as many shots as he does in Washington, he would not shine as much.

If it came to picking between Briere and Ovechkin I'd pack Briere's bags for him.

Of course it's different when its Briere and Drury, I probably wouldn't let both walk for him.

It's all moot though because Washington would have to be stupid to let a rising superstar and one of the most visible icons in the game go.

This thread is ******ed. How would we get Ovechkin? He is like 22 years old and not a UFA for many years. We would need to trade the farm to get him.
