<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/190">Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle (http://www.kffl.com/link/140), reports the Houston Texans (http://www.kffl.com/team/18/nfl) have agreed to terms on a contract with RB Ron Dayne (http://www.kffl.com/player/1298/nfl). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Doesnt sound like a big deal.. HOwever, should Clev pass on Peterson for some reason (Quinn?) the texans now have green and dayne; I dont see them taking Peterson now at 8 should he be there.

Leaves Buffalo, GB and Tenny as only teams who could really use a starting RB.. andddddddd-- Tenn may resign Chris Brown (GOD I hope so) who would platoon with Lendale White.

So if in a semi-long shot Clev passes on Peterson; maybe he could be ours, unless GB jumps ahead of us; certainly possible

Even if Peterson is taken due to a trade up, I'd still be very happy with Willis or Lynch at 12. Definitely more than a consolation prize.

dude you need to put a dash in there- "re-sign" is pretty much the opposite of "resign"

Dayne is never going to replace Peterson if he's there at 8. They can easily cut him again at training camp.

you guys dont get it do you? Peterson could easily be better than any RB any team has in the top 10 but it doesnt mean they should draft him....the Texans now have bigger needs then RB and no way should RB be a priority in the draft for them this year at least not in the first round

No way Peterson makes it to #12. Even if one of them teams doesn't wanna draft him they will be smart and trade down.

There is no way in hell all them teams just pass on him and not trade up with somebody to get a great coveted player like Peterson. If they didn't trade down with somebody then they would be completely crazy.

We were in that situation last year with guys like Leinart, Cutler and Ngata on the board. Instead we didn't and lost out. Other teams aren't gonna make that mistake.
