I used to call that guy when I was in like Junior high and say whats up Art and he would hang up on me everytime. I also bet him 100 bucks that when the Yankees signed Wade Boggs he would hit over 300 because he had his vision corrected with new glasses. He never paid me....

Actually he died several thousand years ago. His fossil was found in a museum and through he wonders of modern science was made to speak. He has since been returned to the museum.

In all seriousness, I think he was an important disc jockey back in the fifties and was personally acquainted with many of the legends of early rock 'n roll.

The Answer has many fond memories of the Art Wander show - in fact The Answer called into the old empire network (pre adelphia/John Rigas debacle) and used to question Art's football knowledge and expertise.

Hopefully the old codger is alive and well and still debating the flutie/Johnson QB controversy with some other old school Bills fans.
