All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
At this time, where are you projecting the Bills for 2008?
Re: At this time, where are you projecting the Bills for 2008?
I wouldn't bother until after the draft but no less than 9-7. Guranteed that Dick and Marv aren't expecting less and we certianly didn't overachieve last year.
I said 7-9 and offered a $1,000 bet out on it last year. It's early but I'll definately put 9-7 out there, right now, same bet. Any takers?

9-7, maybe 10-6.
I think that IF they have a good draft, and IF the young guys we drafted last year pretty much ALL continue (we need all of them) to get better, and if Losman shows the second half of last season was no fluke.
Then, I think 2008 is the year that we can compete with any team in the league.
Right now, they have too many holes, too many question marks, not enough vet leadership, and too many young players; not to mention a ridiculously harder schedule this coming year... Lastly, the OL will be better but the run defense still looks putrid, and you cant win when you cant stop the run.
My best realistic hope is they draft well and are at least competitive and entertaining enough to not turn off a lot of the casual fans who they are starting to lose to the Sabres and whatever else they're losing them to.
FOr guys like most of us on here, it's all about football. To thousands of casual fans/ticket buyers. Losing recognizable players like Fletcher, Clements, McGahee and possibly Spikes and not having a good record is going to hurt the ticket gate an awful lot.

Kind of hard to prognosticate at this point - but depending on what happens in 2007, than 2008 will most certainly be a critical year for Richard Jauron.
If Buffalo has another rebuilding year in 2007 (Which The Answer suspects they might) than optimistically The Answer believes we will finally break out in 2008 and be a 10+ team.

2007 - time for Losman and Evans to shine!
~The Answer
Losman/Evans already do shine.
2007 = time for Whitner, McCargo, Simpson, Crowell and Youboty to shine.
