What's worse:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=217Hs_Mgw_Q
Buffalo Bills Brad Butler attempts to end the career of New York Giant Mathias "Kiwi" Kiwanuka, or Joey Porter's bar room fight with Levi Jones?

Just checking.

Talk about high character guy. Marv Levy is so full of ****.

Right idea, poor execution.

While you get an F for the wording of this particular post I see what you mean.

I actually watched that game and was pretty surprised we drafted him given Marv's stance on these type of things.

To answer your question Butler was no question the worse of the two.

well neither is good but as far as which is worse I don't know Porter isn't on video.

Butler's cheap shot was talked about at length after the draft. Most us asked the same thing about this being a high character guy.

No, I get your point, but to try to make your point by pointing out what an idiot move Butler pulled in college is the wrong way to go about it. Butler was definitely in the wrong, but Porter has a history of being an idiot. Don't forget, this is the same guy who ended up with a bullet in his a$$.

Didn't your mom ever tell you that two wrongs don't make a right? It's sad that you have to resort to making yourself feel better about a Dolphins player by trying to find something that a Bills player did that may or may not be worse.

They both did really stupid things, end of story.

Aren't we all idiots for one reason or another?

There are varying degrees of idiocy. Most of us never do something idiotic enough to result in an arrest or getting shot.

Can I honestly say I never do anything stupid? Of course not. But I can honestly say I've never taunted a dude in a casino then punched him out and ended up in jail, or done anything even remotely close.

oh man, you're really moving into dangerous territory. If you wanted to go over the list of Bills that have gotten themselves in trouble over the last few years versus the list of Dolphins, the Bills list is going to be much shorter. Hell, Ricky Williams and Randy McMichael alone more than outdo the entire Bills team.

Marv generally looks for high character guys. But a football team consists of 53 musclebound, talented guys who have never been told "No" in their entire lives. Occasionally someone is going to act out. The HGH and steroids don't help.

Point taken. You win this one, Op.

There's no excuse for what Butler did, but he was a college player and Porter is a 9-year NFL vet. Hardly comparable. And Kiwi was fine afterwards.

Yeah, a young guy in Butler messed up and did something out of character in a moment of emotion.

It does not make him a bad character individual. If you think ****ing up one time makes one a bad character, you have much to learn.

Isn't there a big difference between something that happens on a football field versus a guy following someone to the parking lot and assaulting him. Last I looked you don't go to jail for a chop block.

Well one happened on the field (not a crime) and one happened off the field (crime).

Both suck if you ask me but one will get you arrested.

Butler's knee dive sure reminded me of old Conrad Dobler type stuff.

I agree that Butler should have been ejected, if that's allowable for that stuff.

However, Joey Porter is a whole other kind of azzzz. Loud mouthed punk, who save for football, would probably already be doing time in San Quentin.

If Butler pulls that stuff in the pros, he deserves to get it back in spades, but until then, Porter wins the lowlife award competition in this contest.....

Talk about high character guy. Marv Levy is so full of ****.

LMAO

like anyone who is a Miami fan could actually say this without making the entire world laugh.

When it comes to Butler, you have to ask yourself if it was a one time offense. how many times did he do that in college.

We're all human and we all have done dumb things. most of us learn from them and don't repeat these mistakes. In the case of Butler, if he has learned from the mistake and genuinely felt bad about it, then in the end he has become a better person for it.

What happened between Porter and Levi is something else all together, these guys got into each others faces, and obviously Ported had enough of the BS

To be honest I don't view either incident as something to judge the persons character. If we saw multiple incidences of this type of behavior from either then player then we can start to bring in character issues.

SO I will end this by telling you that you can shove your "Talk about high character guy. Marv Levy is so full of ****." straight up your low character Miami ass.

have a nice day !
