I know all of these guys won't be available, but who would be your preference?

(I left out the impossibles like Quinn, Jackson, Adams, Russell, etc.)

You also left out Laron Landry.. who would be #2 on my board after my #1.

Adrain Peterson.. IF he's there, you HAVE to take him.. He's a straight up potential FRANCHISE running back..

Its not every year you can get a franchise player with the 12th pick.

Assuming he's gone: Lynch is next in line. I think he would not only be good for the run game, but would be a huge asset to Losman.

I wouldnt complain about Patrick Willis either, although I am STRONGLY hoping we go offense with our first two picks...

Okoye will be good in time, maybe VERY good, but I doubt he will do much to help us this year, and taking a DT at 12 means Marv made a mistake with McCargo or Tripplett and nobody will convince me otherwise.

I picked Lynch just because I don't think Peterson will drop to 12th. I'll be happy with either pick though. Or even Willis. Any of the three and I'm good to go.

Lynch or bust.

the one thing I will say about Lynch is this.. With both their running styles.

Is this starting to seem a little similar to the Edge vs Ricky Williams debate of years ago? Difference being they are both not top 5-6 draft picks.

Kind of.

I'd say Peterson for sure if it wasn't for his injuries. That bothers me.

Just like Lynch's off the field stuff sorta bothers me. Plus he is a CA guy so who knows how much he is really going to like living in Buffalo.

I don't want to get another RB that will be here for a few years and then move on.

Is Landry a possible to be there?

BILLSROCK1212
03-21-2007, 11:04 AM
It has to be Willis because we could always find a good RB in round 2 but it is a lot harder to find a MLB in the later rounds......I wouldn't mine Laron Landry either because he has the ability to play LB, S and CB

Is Landry a possible to be there?
Probably not. But teams that would want him also have other needs. I"d say he can go as high as #6 (Wash) and as low as 10 (Atl)..

Well, i added him regardless.

There is a category for "Other". That option can be used to vote for players not on the list.

SHOULD DRAFT - landry, peterson, lynch, willis, okoye - in that order.

WILL DRAFT - they will trade down and take Tedd Ginn Jr.

Yeah, sometimes you have to spell things out for Ron. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Peterson. If he's gone, probably Lynch. I think Willis and Okoye are going to be good productive players, as would Landry. The only thing with the pick of Landry, is we'd have to figure out how to make use of all our DBs effectively, and we need a plan on filling the rest of our holes. Otherwise, having any of those guys would not upset me.

Whatevs. If you can add Laron Landry why can't you add Alan Branch?

A touch unfair. I think its as much of a reach for Peterson to drop as Adams or Quinn.

Dr. Lecter

Then use the Other category. :D

I based this on recent mock that have AP dropping.

The current results of the poll don't make sense to me...Are there actually 15 people here that prefer Lynch over Peterson? Or is it that they think it is more realistic that we would grab Lynch than Peterson fall to us - which, by the way, is not the question. The question is not who will likely fall to us, but who would you pick out of the available options listed.

I find it hard to believe that there are 15 people here that prefer Lynch over Peterson. Additionally, after seeing Willis' pro day numbers, has anyone changed their mind? I know this thread was created before those results were displayed. For those that need a reminder, Willis posted 40 times of 4.37 and 4.38!!!

Just wondering if anyone had changed their mind from who the originally voted for...
