here is a guy we should look at, very productive, just took to many hits behind awful offensive line, he can do it all out of the backfeild and he is still relatively young, i would take him over Chris Brown in a second, he would be very successful splittin time

I have heard nothing but bad things about his knee. Its a shame good back when healthy.

Those who hate Chris Brown should hate Dom Williams 10 times more.

Thanks to debilitating knee injury, Williams did not play a down during the 2006 campaign and with yet another setback on the road to recovery this offseason, his career in the NFL could be over.

If we sign Williams AND Chris Brown, we may be able to get four games out of them (combined)!

I don't think Peterson will drop to us, but this move has been comming for a while. Davis has been shot for a while. This doesn't change a thing. A. Green, Lundy, Duane. Davis was already out the door. The guys career is done. Move has no draft effects.

no questions now... pederson will be texanafter they just signed Ahman Green and Ron Dayne plus they have Samkon Gado and Wali Lundy and if you include FB it looks like they will match the Giants offer for Vonta Leach....those are some pretty good RBs there...why would they go after Peterson?

Worth inquiring over the state of his knee. I agree that he's a better back (when healthy) than Chris Brown.

I could see the Texans trading up with Cleveland if Joe Thomas is available. With 2 second round picks they have room to play. Cleveland could land Petersen at #8.

They drafted Eric Winston last year and Charles Spencer but Spencer may have had a career ending injury so the Texans will be focusing more on the guard position in the draft

they just signed Dayne back and had signed Ahman Green I don't think they will use a rd 1 pick on a RB I'm thinking they take Joe Thomas or a WR sure they have Andre Johnson but then who, they cut Eric Moulds, plus hell they can use alot of help on D also

 The Texans gotta be the dumbest team ever! They pass on Matt Leinart and Vince Young because they believe that David Carr is their QB of the future and will develop into a solid Quarterback. They pass on Reggie Bush because they were set at RB with Dominick Davis and Ron Dayne and Vernand Morency! :lmao:

Now they cut Dominick (Davis) Williams and traded Vernand Morency!

Nice job, Houston! :bf1:

If he can pass a physical, I would take Dominick Williams (Davis) in a heartbeat! I've always liked him when he was on the Texans and had him on my fantasy teams several times.

I agree, if hes only asking backup money, I think he'd be a steal and a half.

Wouldn't the passing a physical be a big if? His knee was pretty messed up, I thought.

Leave it to the OBD doctors to determine what his knee looks like. He is worth the risk if his knee checks out... much more than Brown. Remember, we are in the rare position of being able to offer an "at-risk" back the chance at one year before we decide if we need to go franchise back next year. Take a chance on the kid if he's able.

He's not exactly in a great bargaining position right now, so he probably could be had for pretty close to the vet minimum--after all, what are his options at this point really. If the MDs at OBD think that he can play well enough to be worth signing, the Bills could afford that kind of deal. The only question is whether they like someone in this year's draft and don't want to tie up a roster spot on Davis/Williams because they want to bring along the rookie that they are looking to draft. The way things are, they don't have to make a move now--it's not like a lot of teams are going to rush out to sign him this week--they could talk with his agent, perhaps have him come in and be seen by their MDs, etc. and maybe even be able to wait until after the draft before doing a deal with him if they can't get a RB that they really want out of the draft.

I have a lot of respect for Davis--when he's been healthy, he has been a very good, versatile RB. And, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills' uni if his knee is well enough for him to play. But, that is a huge question-mark that can only be answered by the MDs. And, I'd have to rely on them to know a lot more and be a lot better at assessing the condition of his knee than I or any fan would. So, we'll just have to see what happens....
